WattShed Cap

Live, self-serve

Every job's true cost, against your program's cap.

Cap keeps the number weatherization programs answer for constantly: what did this dwelling actually cost, and is it inside the cap. Load the cost lines, and Cap rolls labor (hours times rate, or dollars), materials, and everything else into per-job totals, checks each against the per-dwelling cap your program enters, and shows where the money concentrates. WattShed ships no default cap, because caps are program-specific and change; the cap on the report is always your own.

What it does.

  • Rolls labor, materials, and other cost lines into per-job totals, with hours times rate handled properly.

  • Checks every job against the per-dwelling cap the program enters, over-cap jobs first.

  • Shows program totals and the average cost per job, with the labor share flagged when it dominates.

  • Ships no default cap: the number on the report is always the program's own.

  • Runs in the browser on the ledger you load. Nothing uploaded or stored.

Who it is for.

Weatherization program administrators

Watch per-unit costs against the cap while jobs are open, not after closeout.

Utilities and public program administrators

Answer a monitoring review's cost-per-unit questions from the ledger, not from memory.

Crew leads and contractors

See how much cap room a job has left before adding the next measure.

How it works.

01

Load the lines

One row per cost line: job, kind, and dollars or hours times rate.

02

Enter your cap

Your program's own per-dwelling number. None is shipped, deliberately.

03

Work the overs first

Over-cap jobs surface first with the amount over, and every job shows its remaining room.

What it does, and what it deliberately does not.

Cap does

Rolls up job costs and checks them against the program's own cap

Cap does not

Does not ship a default cap or make a compliance determination

Cap does

Shows cost concentration honestly

Cap does not

Does not replace an accounting system or upload the ledger anywhere

Availability.

The job cost check is live today as a public self-serve tool, no account required, nothing uploaded. A standing job-cost ledger wired to a live program is arranged with WattShed directly.
