The cap is your program's own number, entered by you. This tool does not ship one, because caps are program-specific and they change. Enter it to see how much room each job has left, or how far over it went. Leave it blank and every job still totals up, just without that comparison.
This is a ledger view, not an accounting system or a compliance determination. It totals the rows you load and compares the total to a number you provide. It does not verify an invoice or decide what a program is allowed to pay for.

What it rolls up
Four numbers, built from the rows already in your ledger.
Labor, as hours times a rate, or a flat dollar line
If a labor row carries both hours and an hourly rate, this multiplies them to get that line's dollars. If it only carries a dollar amount, that figure is used as-is. Either way, every labor line in a job rolls into that job's labor total.
Materials
Every row you mark as materials adds straight to that job's materials total from the dollar amount on the row. No unit math, no markup applied: whatever your ledger says the materials line cost is what gets counted here.
The cap check
If you enter your program's per-job cap, every job's total (labor plus materials plus anything else) is measured against it: how much room is left, or how far a job has gone over. Leave the cap blank and every job still totals up, just without that comparison.
What it deliberately is not
This rolls up the rows you already have in a ledger. It does not verify an invoice, catch a miscoded row, or replace your program's accounting system. It is not a compliance determination, and it does not decide whether a cost is eligible.
Nothing beyond the columns you map is read for this report. If your export carries vendor names, invoice numbers, or other sensitive columns, they load into this browser tab like the rest of the file and are never sent anywhere, but you are still handling that data, so treat the file the way your program already requires.
