Every status here comes from the roster's own dates. A wrong date in equals a wrong status out: this tool checks the arithmetic against today, it does not check whether the date itself is correct.
This is a paperwork tracker, not a licensing check. It does not verify a license against any state board, an insurance policy against an insurer, or a bond against a surety. Use it to see who needs a renewal nudge before a payment stalls on missing paperwork, not as the program's system of record.

Expirations and windows
Every credential row with an expiration date is checked against today: past the date is lapsed, inside the warning window is expiring, and anything further out is current. The window defaults to 30 days and is yours to widen or narrow before you read the report.
Required credentials
You choose which credential kinds the program requires. A required kind with no row at all for a contractor comes back missing, named plainly, not buried in a blank cell.
Documents that do not expire
A credential row with no expiration date, a W-9 is the common case, is reported as non-expiring rather than lapsed or missing. It is treated as present, not as a gap.
What it deliberately does not verify
This tracks paperwork status from the dates in your roster. It does not call a state licensing board, an insurer, or a bonding company to confirm anything is real, current, or valid outside the file you loaded.
Nothing beyond the columns you map is read for this report. If your export carries other contractor details, they load into this browser tab like the rest of the file and are never sent anywhere, but you are still handling that data, so treat the file the way your program already requires.
