The projection is straight-line arithmetic at the recent run rate, not a forecast. It assumes the last few months keep repeating: a program that changes pace, opens a new measure, adds staff, or slows intake, changes the answer. Treat the exhaustion month as a warning light, not a due date.
This is a pace check, not an audit or an official reconciliation. Use it to see the runway before a board meeting or a check-in call, not as the program's system of record.

Remaining after commitments
Total budget minus every dollar already committed or disbursed, whichever bucket a spend row's kind lands in. This is what's actually still available, not just what hasn't been paid out yet.
Run rate window
A dollar-per-month rate computed from the ledger's most recent complete months, a fixed trailing window of 3 months, so one unusually heavy or light month can't stand in for the program's real pace.
Projected exhaustion
The month remaining budget hits zero at the current run rate, and how many months out that is from today. Straight-line arithmetic, not a forecast: it holds only if the recent pace continues unchanged.
Overcommitment
Flags when committed dollars alone already exceed the budget, or when the remaining balance is too thin against the run rate to last long. A program can be technically within budget and still be effectively out of room.
Nothing beyond the columns you map is read for this report. If your export carries vendor names, invoice numbers, or other sensitive columns, they load into this browser tab like the rest of the file and are never sent anywhere, but you are still handling that data, so treat the file the way your program already requires.
