What the bill history says about this home, season by season.
Load a home's monthly usage and this reads the shape of its year: which months run hot, which run cold, and which barely move. It sorts the home into one of four seasonal profiles from its own bills. This is a seasonal read of the home's own bills, not a model of the home and not a verified measurement.
Everything runs in this browser tab: the CSV is read, normalized, and compared on your device. Nothing is uploaded, sent to a server, or stored. Close the tab and it's gone.
Add a county and this shows what a typical home in that climate would look like, using the county's annual heating and cooling degree-day balance. That balance is context only: monthly weather is deliberately not modeled, and no weather normalization is claimed anywhere on this page. A month flagged here is a month worth asking about, not a finding.

How to read the profile
Four shapes a year of bills can take.
Heating-dominant
Winter months use far more than the rest of the year. The home leans on electric heat, resistance or a heat pump, and cooling barely shows up in the bill.
Cooling-dominant
Summer months use far more than the rest of the year. Heat likely runs on gas or another fuel outside this meter, and air conditioning is what moves the bill.
Dual-peak
Both winter and summer rise well above the months between them. Heating and cooling each draw meaningfully on the electric bill.
Flat
Usage barely moves across the year. Little of the bill tracks the seasons at all, so baseload is doing most of the work.
What baseload dominance means
Baseload is the part of the bill that doesn't move with the weather: always-on loads like refrigeration, standby draw, and anything running year-round. When it dominates the total, there is little seasonal signal left to read either way.
Why climate context is context
A county's degree-day balance describes a typical year for that climate, not this home's actual weather in any specific billed month. It's a plausibility check against a home's own pattern, never proof, and it never substitutes for measuring the home directly.
A full year or more of monthly bills gives the strongest read. Fewer than that, and a profile can still be read, but with less of the year to draw the norm from.
